Xiangyunsha: A Thousand-Year Tradition

Xiangyunsha is a traditional silk fabric that has been passed down for centuries in Shunde, Guangdong Province, China.
It is produced using a rare dyeing technique recognized as a national intangible cultural heritage, and is known as the "black gold of silk."

Xiangyunsha uses 100% silk (mulberry silk). It is meticulously crafted through a traditional process of repeated dyeing with a plant-derived dye extract called dioscorea cirrhosa, followed by applying natural river mud and sun-drying.

A Unique Texture in the World

Because it is created by the hands of artisans and the forces of nature—sun, wind, water, and earth—no two pieces of fabric will ever have the exact same pattern or color.

It possesses an elegant sheen, deep colors, and a combination of suppleness and just the right amount of crispness. Its smooth texture prevents stuffiness, making it comfortable to wear even in hot weather.

One of Xiangyunsha's unique charms is that its color gradually changes with wear and washing, developing a beautiful patina over time.

• Hand wash gently in cold water (below 30°C) with a neutral detergent.
• Do not rub vigorously or wring.
• Reshape flat and air dry naturally in a well-ventilated shade.
• Prolonged direct sunlight can cause fading.
• Avoid direct contact with perfumes, deodorizing sprays, and insect repellents.
• When storing, avoid humidity and store dark and light colors separately.
