Xiangyunsha: A Millennium of Tradition

Xiangyunsha is a traditional silk fabric that has been passed down since ancient times in Shunde, Guangdong Province, China.
It is created using a rare dyeing technique recognized as a national intangible cultural heritage, and is known as the "black gold of silk."

Xiangyunsha is made from 100% mulberry silk. It is carefully finished using traditional methods, involving repeated dyeing with dye liquid from the plant "Dioscorea cirrhosa" and then coated with natural river mud and sun-dried repeatedly.

A Unique Texture in the World

Because it is created by artisans' handiwork and the power of nature—the sun, wind, water, and earth—no two pieces of fabric will have the exact same pattern or color.

It possesses an elegant luster and depth of color, combining suppleness with just the right amount of crispness, and has a smooth texture that resists stuffiness, making it comfortable to wear even in hot weather.

Another unique charm of Xiangyunsha is that its color gradually changes with wear and washing, developing beautifully over time.

Care Instructions

Xiangyunsha is a delicate material with natural dyes. To enjoy its beautiful texture for a long time, we recommend the following care:

• Avoid using washing machines and dryers.
• Gently hand wash in cold water (under 30℃) using a neutral detergent.
• Do not scrub or twist tightly.
• Reshape flat and air dry in a well-ventilated shade.
• Prolonged direct sunlight can cause fading.
• Avoid direct contact with perfumes, deodorizing sprays, and insect repellents.
• When storing, avoid humidity and store dark and light colors separately.
